ISO 42001 Alignment and AI Governance at ShoppingPartnerLab
2026-02-28 · ShoppingPartnerLab · AI Governance
At ShoppingPartnerLab, we treat AI governance as an operational discipline, not a marketing claim. This article explains our current ISO 42001 alignment approach and the controls we already apply.
## What we mean by "alignment" Our use of the term "alignment" reflects an internal governance program aligned with ISO/IEC 42001 principles. It does not claim formal certification.
In practice, alignment means we maintain documented processes for: - AI risk identification and review - model selection and routing rationale - accountability and role ownership - incident handling and continuous improvement - evidence trails for key technical decisions
## Governance model in daily operations Our AI operations are built around three practical layers:
- Policy layer — governance rules, review criteria, and escalation paths.
- Execution layer — model routing, task boundaries, and runtime safeguards.
- Evidence layer — logs, change records, and reproducible reporting artifacts.
This structure helps us evaluate quality, safety, and efficiency consistently across releases.

## Why this matters For merchants and partners, reliable AI governance is not abstract compliance work. It affects decision quality, risk exposure, and long-term trust in automated systems.
Our position is simple: publish evidence, state assumptions clearly, and improve the system continuously.
